In 2022, we helped Corus, a leading media and content company that develops and delivers high quality brands and content across platforms for audiences around the world, transform its outdated on-premises intranet into a go-to destination for all employees. Today, they’ve been recognized as a 2024 Innovative HR Team by HRD for their new intranet.
Like many companies, Corus has been evolving its ways of working to a hybrid work model. With employees working in diverse roles, lines of business and geographies, they needed a single platform where all their employees could start their day, access news and information about the business and learn about events happening across the company. Corus needed an intranet where all employees could see themselves and interact with others within their workplace culture.
Enter Corus Central, Corus’s new intranet built on GO for modern SharePoint. It’s full of features that foster connection and community across the company, such as enhancing their well-being through a dedicated well-being section, supporting charitable initiatives through Connected Community, embracing sustainability through Corus Green, liking and commenting on posts, scheduling events, posting employee generated content on the photo gallery, listing items to buy and sell on a marketplace, and awarding Corus Stars to colleagues through its everyday employee recognition. These features make Corus Central a valuable, engaging destination for all employees and creates a unifying experience for their hybrid workforce. The results have been successful – analytics through Helm Insights show that employee engagement with news, events and recognition have all increased. To learn more about these features and what else GO Intranet offers, check out GO’s feature page.
The Corus team continues to lean into their test-and-learn approach and build on the success of their intranet, while the Habanero team continues to be a strategic partner to Corus. We help them maximize their intranet investment and achieve their goal of strengthening their communications and workplace culture while also being the destination for everything Corus. From the start, the Habanero and Corus teams felt like an excellent match, and we are so proud of their achievement as an Innovative HR Team.
