Habanero took second place at the Globe and Mail Best Workplace in Canada Awards in Toronto on Thursday. We've continued our streak of top-five finishes!
This year is the fifth year Habanero participated in the comprehensive study of Canadian workplace best practices. Habanero placed in the category of companies with less than 1,000 people. More than 300 organizations applied for this nationally-recognized award.
Organizations on this year's list were ranked using the results of an employee survey and the Trust Index©, developed by global research firm Great Place to Work® Institute. This methodology is utilized by over 6,000 organizations in almost 50 countries each year, making it the most widely adopted workforce satisfaction tool in the world.
Judging is based on five themes the Institute's research indicates are found in the best workplaces: Credibility, Respect, Fairness, Pride, and Camaraderie. Habanero also received a special award in the Respect category.
Also included in this year's coverage is an article describing Habanero's intern and co-op program. Caterina Sanders, Habanero's vice-president, and former intern Spencer Perry were interviewed for the story.
