Habanero earned a place on the 2014 list of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers. The fifty companies who made the list were not ranked in any particular order.
Judges specifically cited Habanero’s open culture, RRSP contribution plan, flexible work arrangements, and internal professional development programs as the reasons we received this designation.
Evaluation criteria includes an organization’s physical work environment, benefits plan, vacation and time-off policies, performance management programs, and community involvement. To be eligible, firms must have less than 500 employees, the same amount Statistics Canada uses to measure small and medium employers (SMEs).
Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers is run by Canada’s Top 100 Employers. This is the first year Canadian small and medium employers have been recognized with their own list in this program.
