Habanero Consulting Group (Habanero), a leading BC Internet consulting services company, has been awarded the IT Enterprise of the Year Award for 2002. The Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS), a national body representing the IT profession, presented the prestigious award last night at a gala ceremony at the Westin Bayshore.
The CIPS IT Enterprise of the Year Award recognizes a BC-based company that distinguishes itself as an employer that is progressive in its use of technology and is a superior example of organizational excellence. Habanero was selected from four finalists and was also a finalist for the award in 2001.
Steven Fitzgerald, President, sees this award as recognition of an excellent group of clients and a strong team at Habanero. "We have been blessed with visionary clients with whom we've enjoyed long, fruitful relationships based on trust and mutual respect. Equally important is the team at Habanero; we have an exceptionally smart and energetic group."
Co-founded by professional engineers Steven Fitzgerald and Neil Jensen, Habanero has 25 employees and continues to flourish using a carefully managed approach that has seen an average 100% growth in revenues every year for six years.
